简介：宣宇贤在济州岛附近寻找一个名叫“异鱼岛”的地方，追忆起一件四年前的往事。当时，他还是某旅行社的企划部部长，为了营建一个名为“异鱼岛”的观光旅馆特意计划到异鱼岛进行宣传工作。在驶往异鱼岛的船上，济州新闻社的记者千南硕企图阻止宣宇贤的行程，要求他掉转船头，并宣称只有将死之人才能看到异鱼岛，但宣宇贤不以为然。当天夜里，千南硕在船上失踪，宣宇贤受到谋杀嫌疑。 调查详情后，宣宇贤虽因证据不足被无罪开释，但依然受到种种困扰，于是他决定和断定他是杀人犯的报社主编一起前往济州岛，寻找千南硕失踪的真相。随着和岛民的深入接触，千南硕过往的所作所为被逐一揭露，而岛上关于千南硕一家受到海妖诅咒的传言，也越来越接近这两位来访者......

简介：Catholicism entered Korea in 1784. Lee Seung-hun spreads the words with the brothers of Jung Yak-jong and Jung Yak-yong. The religion is used as an impetus for dispute between political parties so it becomes persecuted. During the Sin-yu Persecution, Ha-sang and Jung-eun avoid torture and surveillance and gather the parishioners, expanding the church's power. Lee Hang-ju, the illegitimate child of Lee Ji-yeon a high ranking official, rescues Jung-eun from danger and is drawn to her at first glance. Hang-ju and Jung-eun's fathers give their blessing to their marriage but one is executed for truth and the other becomes a high ranking official whom no one can approach. Jung-eun avoids Hang-ju's love for the truth and the teachings of the church. Hang-ju desperately chases after his love. When many parishioners disappear like dew on the gallows during the Roman Catholic persecution, Hang-ju receives the Holy Spirit.
